"Alack-a-day, no. I've never been able to get the right central idea for it. It lurks beyond me--it allures--and beckons--and recedes-- I almost grasp it and it is gone. Perhaps amid this peace and loveliness, I shall be able to capture it. Miss Bryant tells me that you write."

24 hours after the initial batch of news stories stirring up the 'exploding Note 7' fears all over again, it feels rather like déjà vu as the latest reports come to light.

An article from the BBC this morning confirmed what I'd been dreading since I picked up the replacement phone. Samsung has urged us to hit that power button and shut them down until further notice.

Logging on to Samsung's website this morning it looks like the previous reports about the complete cease of Note 7 productions might well be true as the front page displays a Galaxy S7 Edge instead. Despite the main information under the Note 7 not being updated, Samsung issued a statement today saying:

"We are working with relevant regulatory bodies to investigate the recently reported cases involving the Galaxy Note 7. Because consumers' safety remains our top priority, Samsung will ask all carrier and retail partners globally to stop sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note 7 while the investigation is taking place."

They then ends with:

"Consumers with either an original Galaxy Note 7 or replacement Galaxy Note 7 device should power down and stop using the device and take advantage of the remedies available," a spokesperson said. Of course, Monday evening a spokesperson was insisting that the devices were perfectly safe to use, and most of them probably will be.

However for the people whose phones have caught fire after charging, in people's pockets, while they've been sleeping, burned down a Jeep, and caused an airline to evacuate, theirs certainly weren't. We'll keep you updated it anything else changes.
